Kids Day at Sand & Sage Fair a Smashing Success
So, it’s been reported that Kids Day today, Wednesday, was a smashing success. The folks around Lamar know how to do kids day at the fair. Every kid goes away happy, prizes in their pockets and a smile on their face as the day is filled to the brim with kid friendly activities and games with prizes. No such thing as going away sad with this much fun surrounding the child’s mind. A warm summer day at the Sand and Sage Fair can’t be beat when you’re some where between 3 and 16. Whether you’re enjoying a craft under the trees, artistic endeavors somewhere nearby, a tractor pull or just hanging out with friends, there’s ALWAYS something fun for the children. Go visit the Prowers County Fair Grounds and see what you can do tomorrow. Don’t forget to stop by the World Series 2011, at the Ball Parks just north of the Fair Grounds. Sponsored by:
Sidewalk Sales Saturday in Lamar, Colorado
Sidewalk Sales in front of sidewalk sales that front the shops downtown. Local store owner, Carol Owens, from Country Treasures on South Main sent a message, “Getting ready for side walks sales tomorrow. Oris George will be here signing his book, Along the Back Roads of Yesterday. Lia Sophia jewelry and samples of the dips and mixes I carry will be on display.” Knowing Carol is setting out sidewalk displays, means all the other downtown stores are gathering up tables and specials to put out for the many folks visiting for Sand and Sage Fair and the World Series 2011, both in town over this weekend. Don’t miss the fun. Schedules will be available during the parade and after at local merchants, or visit the Prowers County Fair Grounds for readily available schedules and times. World Series 2011 Using 2009 Built Ball Parks
Across from ALCO Store in Lamar, Colorado, the new (in 2009) Ball Parks welcome World Series 2011, the Babe Ruth Softball 16 & up leagues will be playing August 6 – 13th, 2011. Come on out to the Ball Parks, or the Sand & Sage Fair Grounds for activities and excitement. There’ll be plenty to do, plenty of fun to be had and everyone will have a great time. Sand and Sage Fair will be going on from the 7th to the 14th, of August, so you’ll have plenty to do.
