Dressed for a Summer Night

Linda Dickerson lives east of Lamar, Colorado, just past the end of Maple Street where it becomes a country road again. I don’t remember not knowing Linda. She married the guy that always did my parent’s auto-body work, until he retired. Then Paul and Darlene Lopez took over. There’s always been something exciting about knowing who would take care of your vehicles, when the event comes around and you need someone to fix a dent or something bigger. But, Linda Dickerson has always been more friend than business owner, and for that I will forever be grateful. Occasionally, she shares these amazing photos and knows I’ll ‘lift’ a few now and then, always giving her credit, announcing where they came from and sharing my hometown, where she continues to live. These photos of Sunset July 11, 2012, are amazing, not just because of the brilliant colors of the sky, but also because of the little bits and pieces of my home town that are readily visible within the pictures.
