Had any BJ’s recently?
I find myself craving a superburger and fries now and then… Can I have a chocolate shake with that. I know, I’m well aware that it’s probably a heart attack in a wrapper, but once in a while isn’t going to hurt anyone and I’m not in Lamar very often. So… anytime I go back there, I stop in for a BJ’s Super Burger (yes, put everything on it) and fries, with a chocolate milk shake. YUM. Hometown goodness in a foil wrapper. Well worth the drive and more than worth the money – don’t tell Roxie, but one day a week at least, it’s cheaper than Burger King! Gotta love it.

Micro Bursts Reek Havoc on Lamar
Many areas of Lamar, Colorado were under siege today from storms that blew through around 4 PM. Philips 66 near the South end of Main Street lost the canopy and gas pumps. Tree in Willow Creek Park came crashing down in the heavy winds. A semi truck and trailer rig rolled off the overpass at Wiley Junction, no reports of injuries. Power lines were reported down on Savage Blvd. But power has been restored this evening to homes in the area although power poles are still reported to be leaning sideways. Power crews will be out much of the night and early morning checking and restoring power to the area. Blue Spruce tree in front of the Kennedy residence was uprooted. So much damage in the area has been reported, these and many more photos have been shared on facebook and other sites, indicating family homes destroyed as well as public properties damaged by high winds and Micro Bursts in the area on June 2, 2012.
