Vertical Marketing for Displaced Businesses
In theories of business, many come to mind as we discuss the continued overhaul of American Business. As we knew it… business is changing rapidly. None so fast as those cottage industries on the backstreets of American small towns. Real estate, for instance, is a prime predictor of values changes and regions of displacement within a community. Whether small town or big city, the need to use every inch of real estate is a big deal for most of us. Returning “home” after a winter of being gone, I noticed my yard was a bit slushy. No rain in the area, but there I was, walking through the muck of over-watered grass to get into my former abode. Underneath my former abode was a clear water lake. The kind that normally gets a response of “Oh no, there’s a water leak!” I was beyond that line… From somewhere deep inside, laughter bubbled up and I said, “Oh look we have a new neighborhood swimming pool!” The surprises continued… As I snuggled in the recliner with my grandson, rocking him to sleep for a nap while I worked inside the house.
