Leon Sparks Warned Them…

Before the coal plant opened, Leon Sparks warned the people of the Power Plant and the people of southeastern Colorado that the boilers would not stand up under the frequent testing/cool down cycles that were scheduled during the summer of 2009. And, yet, the Southeastern Colorado Power continued to pursue their testing process.

Bud Scranton – Boot Tracks, There & Back

Bud Scranton writes from a position of having lived through the tough times, through the changes, and over the long hard roads of history in the making. This story of his life written to share family history with his grandchildren will bring tears, laughter and understanding to those who read it. Scranton, a survivor of the ’30′s dust bowl days, details his efforts to bring sheep to Colorado. Walking a path of determination he wore the soles off many pair of boots to make it there and back, again and again.

Leaning on Promises and Memories

When we were young we followed our parents footsteps, gathered friends among those close by and shared our hearts freely with others. In fact, back in those early days, our parents most likely shared with total strangers how we loved everyone we met.
