Freedom, Liberty & Nosy Neighbors

Today I received a message from another wonder-lust filled newcomer to Lamar, who thinks he knows how to solve the world’s problems by cleaning up the junk yards that welcome new folks into town. im off to the office now…getting ready for ATT to hit here soon. and i have the h20 which is the pre paid side..looking to do some good business….Caramies went out of business and mike roman bought it. you probably know him..hes going to make a big business out of clothing there..having clothes for 3x on up which this town does not have nor is there a good place for maternity clothing. good old lamar but im trying to do what i can to make it better and also getting people into getting the junk yards to put up fences so as not to have to look at the junk when coming into town…. I responded to him with the following message. You’re probably not going to like me much, but I’m going to say this anyway. Junk cars, used parts places, etc. are businesses that support Lamar. Desperate Housewives v Desperate Bloggers

As he lives on in INFAMY “Panther Plumber” a frequent poster to the Lamar Ledger’s Topix Blog repeals his right to silence with a proclamation that Fox news won’t report on an event because it isn’t political. Maybe not. But right here on the Lamar Blog – not to be misconstrued or confused as relative to the Lamar Ledger (no connection) – not only is the event mentioned, but celebrated. Hasty/McClave Fire Department’s reception to the former Rifle, Colorado fire truck requires celebration and recognition. What a great event, the arrival of a fire truck in a rural community where once buckets were needed. (Okay, no sarcasm intended, it’s really awesome to see the community moving ahead in time to motorized vehicles used to fight fires.) The people of Hasty and McClave need more modern equipment. Afterall, they have modern fires and emergencies, so modern equipment is necessary. I’ve often wondered why they don’t take up donations from campers headed toward the Dam to collect money for better equipment. They could do it like Lamar collects for fireworks each year around the Fourth of July. Stand firemen on the corners and have them wear their uniforms, show some leg and read more…
