Sand & Sage Fair and Rodeo – Lamar, Colorado

Parade and Rodeo Dates are not the same. I’ve noted this elsewhere on the site, but I thought it might be good to make a note of the differences here, so you could find them if you’re driving in from out of town. Sand & Sage Parade will be Saturday, August 8, 2009 – 10 AM (they didn’t change that) so get up and bring the kiddies out to the parade. We have some special events and plans for this year’s parade going on, and you won’t want to miss them. Come on out and join us for a fun and exciting time seeing neighbors again. Sand & Sage Rodeo will take place on the following Friday and Saturday nights (August 14 & 15, 2009) at the Sand & Sage Fair Grounds. Parking is in direct competition with the World Series Ball Park, and they have guarded parking areas. The county has cleared another parking area on the west side of 9th Street for more parking and will have the usual parking available north of the Pavilion.

World Series Excitement Surrounds Lamar, Colorado

Workers laughed and played around the ball fields as they finished up the Valley National Bank field and concrete walkways Tuesday in Lamar, Colorado. “World Series 2009 WILL happen,” Warren Camp stated as he dredge floated the concrete one more time, assuring a smooth surface for foot traffic. Valley National Bank field will be the only field finished in time for the Cal Ripken 2009 World Series coming to Lamar in mid August. Concrete between the field headers was nearly complete, and forms were being run for sidewalks that would be poured through the coming week. =======ADVERTIZE======== PLACE YOUR AD HERE! ======================
