In answer to Ron Trowbridge’s letter and an attempt to clarify the meaning. More questions… To attempt to summarize this shortly: There are pockets of groups out there that do use the word Christian in their titles that are not particularly complimentary to the Christian faith, who have shot and killed troopers. Bottom line. The extremist go beyond the generalized descriptions of Christians, into a much deeper definition. They do not follow the rule of law as written. Unfortunately this truth bears witness, even with this story. Since the release of this story, State Patrol “troopers” from across the state of Colorado have received “death threats”. Do bible believing Christians do these things? More to the point, anyone who wrote these “death threats” are doing anything but acting as a good Christian would, but they are still using the word “Christian” to validate their extremist and threatening behaviors. Sad, hard pill to swallow, is it not? Captain Hilton assured the attentive audience that “Christians ” are not being targeted by the Colorado State Patrol. There was more to this training than the word “Christian”. In the same notion the word “sovereign citizen” has it’s extremist groups that follow much the read more...

Going home again? Any time soon? Please do stop by BJ’s and indulge your taste buds… I’d been thinking about one of these for a few days before Kathy Briggs shared her picture on Facebook for the World to see. Enticement? There are few things about home I miss these days, with so many options for good food, entertainment, and all the good things life offers… But I do miss BJ’s and I miss my friends. Thanks for the memory, Kathy!

I recently received a letter from one of law enforcement’s finest. He had attended a seminar in which he was told to be on the lookout for Christians. The letter was written by an attendee, Ron Trowbridge, Undersheriff in Prowers County, Colorado. I would like to thank Sheriff Trowbridge for the letter and the 25 years he has spent protecting the public in his county. Fear of reprisals from either the Colorado State Police and Homeland Security, fail to stop this patriot from exposing what our law officers are being subjected to. Because of his bravery, we are able to get an inside look on how nefarious forces within our government are attempting to indoctrinate our law officers. As this letter proves, our officers cannot be intimidated. Nor can they be turned on the people they serve. The people of Prowers County are very lucky to have him. Without further delay, here is the letter unedited and complete in it’s original form: From: rtrowbridge@prowerscounty.net To: forknown@hotmail.com Subject: CSP Training Date: Fri, 5 Apr 2013 10:30:22 -0600 On April 1, 2013 I attended training in La Junta, Colorado hosted by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP). The training was from 12:00 pm read more...

Bristling with attitude? The police and code enforcement officers around Lamar, Colorado are out to make the city a few bucks again this summer. “Mow your yard, move your truck, landscape to meet their demands and don’t mess with the controlling minds that want to tell you how to live. Otherwise we’ll bring you into court, fine your sorry excuse for a tax payer’s existence, and make you regret that you’re living in this town.” … or so the code inspector implies as he delivers the fine with a smile and a bad comb-over. Meanwhile, there’s a dog running lose, that he hasn’t the time to catch, because he’s too busy checking someone’s fence, measuring a weed, or revisiting a parked vehicle in front of someone’s house. Oh, and while we’re at it… Hand over your guns! The City of Lamar has stressed keeping Lamar clean and beautiful by providing free city clean up days over the past several years. The Code Enforcement Officers of the Lamar Police Department work daily to identify and clean up problem areas of the community. With that in mind, the Lamar Police Department would like to remind citizens of city ordinance 7-3-20 which reads, read more...

Linda Dickerson lives east of Lamar, Colorado, just past the end of Maple Street where it becomes a country road again. I don’t remember not knowing Linda. She married the guy that always did my parent’s auto-body work, until he retired. Then Paul and Darlene Lopez took over. There’s always been something exciting about knowing who would take care of your vehicles, when the event comes around and you need someone to fix a dent or something bigger. But, Linda Dickerson has always been more friend than business owner, and for that I will forever be grateful. Occasionally, she shares these amazing photos and knows I’ll ‘lift’ a few now and then, always giving her credit, announcing where they came from and sharing my hometown, where she continues to live. These photos of Sunset July 11, 2012, are amazing, not just because of the brilliant colors of the sky, but also because of the little bits and pieces of my home town that are readily visible within the pictures. Imagine… Power lines overhead, keeping people cool, preparing their food, and lighting their homes so they can read this blog post?
