Great Steak at Truck Plaza in Lamar, Colorado
Do know why so many truckers travel through Lamar Colorado? Someone asked me this question, just a few days after I’d been home last. I didn’t have to think twice to come up with an answer. If you’ve ever had an AMAZING steak at the Truck Plaza just north of Lamar, you know. They come here for the REAL Colorado grown beef steak, served up hot off the grill. Steak and eggs, a side of salad and some of those absolutely decadent cinnamon rolls right out of the oven… You’ll be back. My last visit landed me at the Truck Plaza at nearly 3 AM, chattin’ with the girls. We couldn’t resist a real chicken and cheese quesadilla, iced tea and a piece of that seven layer cheese cake… Couldn’t eat it all either. I brought it with me and had a snack on the road home. YUM. So, if you’re wondering where you need to stop as you travel through Lamar, any time of day. Make it the Lamar Truck Plaza, the Oasis on the Plains.
