Hometown Promotions – Lamar, CO
Sometimes I come across something that is just too exciting NOT to share. One of my favorite artists in the area is Patsy Place Wollert Oxley, and I noticed recently that she has a blog online celebrating Wednesday Windows. Had to visit her blog and the first thing I saw was a photo of the 3rd Street Nest, a Bed and Breakfast in Lamar, owned by Jane Felter. Lamar’s Fall Festival
If you’ve got anything on your schedule for September 17th, 2011, you need to change it to Visit the Lamar Fall Festival in Lamar, Colorado. Absolutely NOTHING tops the Fall Festival in Lamar when local vendors and cottage industries camp out along Main Street with tables of everything you can think of from books (Oris George will BE there) to needle point, solving all your gift giving questions for the fall. Taylor Wilson Awarded the First Walter Ely Scholarship
Amazing! Both young men, Taylor Wilson and Walter Ely. Having grown up with Walter, I knew how important education was to him as a young man. Walter’s dedication to service, hard work ethic and community values lives on in the Walter Ely Scholarship, awarded to a dedicated student, Taylor Wilson, working hard for the community in his own way, promoting Lamar, and attending Lamar Community College. Softball World Series 2011 Championship Game RE-Scheduled
New time for the Championship game is scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, August 13. If there is to be a second game, it is scheduled for 3:30 PM the same day.
